At age 10 I began visiting my dad's office to help out wherever I was needed. I worked with my father for many years into my teens, but it was never really a job to me because I enjoyed it so much. Working at the office lured me into the field of dentistry and showed me the true importance of service to the community.
Education
I attended Full Sail University where I earned my undergraduate degree in Audio/System Engineering. I fell in love with dentistry when I was at dental school in Bogota, Colombia, at the University of Javeriana. My eyes were opened when I worked in the rural mountain villages and orphanages in Bogota through my university. A huge percent of the population in Colombia needs the care that the students at my university offered, and although we could not help as many people as I desired, the ones we did help made a huge difference. Ultimately, working with the children in the orphanage is what made me want to pursue an education in dentistry.
Continuing Education
Our children are the future and by continuing education as adults we can further their education. Learning is the key to growth in all fields, which is why at Dental Specialists we constantly try to supply you with not only the best care, but also with the most technologically advanced procedures. I have attended the Anatomoge Users Group for 3-D Imaging, the Las Vegas Institute Sleep Breathing Disorders advanced training course, have trained in the use of Incognito braces, and attended the University of Kentucky Orofacial Pain Fellowship. These are just a few of the many ways I have chosen to continue my education and provide better care for my patients.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Brevard County, living in Merritt Island my entire life. In my free time I enjoy jogging and working out and playing golf with my brother and sister. I also love scuba diving and am a certified dive master.
